Welcome to our weekly production report! The film is looking more and more complete, with most shots having approved/final animation, ready to hit the render farm.
While Colin and Nathan are back in the USA, the rest of the team keeps crunching here in Amsterdam!
Hjalti has been animating and reviewing several shots from Nathan (check out this painstakingly detailed review) in order to lock down animation for the first and second part of the short.
Nacho is animating the evil henchmen in the lair, enjoying some rigging challenges (the henchmen rigs where used for the first time here).
Pablo is approaching completion of the outdoor opening. He presented a completely new lighting, and it's stunning!
Andy is pushing shots to the farm. And getting back some final renders. Boring and exciting at the same time!
How many shots are left? How many tasks? Who is working on 11_01_A.animation? These are the daily questions we ask ourselves in order to understand when the movie will be ready.
The Blender Cloud Development team (Sybren, Pablo and Francesco) have been supporting the Agent 327 production with the development of Attract, our production management software, which can help answering those questions.
The best way to ensure that Attract will work well in a real production environment is to test it extensively, and that's what we have been doing in past few months.
Today we are happy to announce that Blender Cloud subscribers can follow the Agent 327 production on Attract. The software will be available in limited beta in the upcoming months. Stay tuned for more news about this and Flamenco (render management)!
