It's time for an update!
Blender Cloud houses over a decade worth of Open Movie projects and Blender Institute Workshops. Over the years we added new training, ready-to-use production assets and even render and shot management services. Just too much! (and a lot to come). So we decided to re-organize things a bit better.
Not the reading kind? Watch this walk-through for a round-up:
Or, read on for all the goodies.
New section! Here we'll be adding special tips and tricks learned through production of open projects. Some techniques are just gold solutions that appear during production, they don't age. Divided into sections to find them more easily.
Go check it out at cloud.blender.org/production
Expect more content to appear there as the Spring team grows and as we dig on the older projects for some real gems.
Every major section has its place now, all available from the main dropdown on the top-left and in a breadcrumbs fashion.
And this is just the tip of the iceberg. Lots of work under the hood makes Blender Cloud (and Blender ID, more on that soon) ready for the future, plus the addition of Tobias (new back-end developer), new artists joining the Spring team for more tutorials. The future is bright!
If you haven't already, subscribe today!. Blender Cloud is one of the many ways you can help to keep Blender development going strong, and get awesome stuff back (besides Blender itself!).
Love, The Blender Cloud team
P.S: What is your favorite new feature and what would you like to see in the future in Blender Cloud and other services?
Would really like to see new up to date podcasts
i would like to see more videos about "how to model and composite entire scene of your film" and im missing also more animation tutorials. You are doing a great job and i really enjoy it! thanks
hi blender cloud add-on doens't work with 2.8 for the moment?
@Stephane le Bec it's ok with new 1.11.1 version add-on.
I would love to see some tutorials on how to create hybrid animation with grease pencil 2.8 beta, like how to create a production workflow like Hero. we have access to the production files, but it would be nice to see how it was done as well.
im beginner for CG. i like to start from blender and i wish to get some advice from anyone to tell me. what is the 1st thing to learn. how to practice and develop my skills. what are the problems the you had faced when you are a beginner
I'm an absolute beginner in 3D CG, learn 3DS Max in August 2018, but 3 months later fell in love with Blender from the first try..
From my point of view, i think it will help me and many other beginners out there, if blender clooud add more and more of great courses from basic to advance in this blender cloud. This will also attract new blood into the blender cloud..
And maybe.. just maybe one day will be translated to my language..
Anyway i will support this blender cloud by being a loyal subscriber and telling my friends about this amazing cloud..
May God bless this blender team, love it!
Is there any hope that the Podcast will be resurrected?
Flamenco for team members without a cloud subscription
Love this new UI, good job.
Something that could be useful for people which doesn't have account or subscription, is to have a quick access to free content, accessible from https://cloud.blender.org/welcome. If I log out and try to see the welcome page as a new user, I miss an ability to see in a second what content can I found in this cloud. A simple thing like this menu we have once connected could already be helpful, don't you think so?
About new features, I'm just a supporter-watcher for now, haven't yet take the time to watch all the content. :-p
More and more textures could be a nice thing, also maybe a new Library > Models category, as we already have for characters, but here for things like furnitures, vehicules, etc, starting with assets extracted from open projects for example?
what I would like to see in the future in Blender Cloud? :)
