And then there were 15. Welcome back! This week we have two visitors on the podcast, Julian (UI developer working for two weeks at the Blender Institute) and Joey (VR goodies!).
In this podcast: Andy, Hjalti, Pablo, Julian, and special guest Joey.
That's it for this week, drop your questions for the next episode in the comments below!

You speak often of megabudget USA feature animation like Zootopia and The Good Dinosaur. Do you also watch low to mid-budget European feature animation like the recent Asterix movie, Monster In Paris, Tad the Lost Explorer, etc?
My question for the next podcast. You are told in one of the podcasts how in the blender you can often accidentally fond a useful shortcut.
I know two ways to merge two points:
1) Remove doubles;
2) Alt+M (Not the most comfortable shortcut as M for the right hand, where the mouse)
But the other day I twice accidentally and magically somehow merge points in one movement, simply by moving one to another. What I clicked and how I did it, a mystery to me. And now, knowing that there is such a quick and comfortable way, I can not get it out of my head.
How???
@Vitalii Shmorhun: This is a togglable option in edit mode. You can enable that like in this picture: http://i.imgur.com/nzq9emL.jpg
@Italic_: Thank you. This adds a bit of comfort in my life.
Hey guys. Two questions, how do you guys cast your actors for your shorts? Eg cosmos laundromat. Second question, would you every reach out to the blender cloud community to animate background characters?far far background
I would like quats so much more if the graph editor worked like it does with Euler. As far as I can tell, you can't even change tangent handles reliably. With Euler, you can stretch one handle on one curve, stretch another on another curve in the opposite direction and it makes a predictable motion. Quats don't like to do that. And because the W component is critical for the math of all three other channels, you can't pull just one handle out to change one axis of interpolation. Quats are useful when you're doing stepped mode and you're only animating by eye, but as soon as you try to utilize the graph, you're done for. This is partly why Autodesk doesn't expose quats to the user very well, nor do they offer good support for them.
