Is Nacho the first Spaniard in the Blender Institute or any of their projects?
Concerning that question you were not sure about around 35:45; if you said "Shot Tools" (I couldn't quite make out what you said there) , then they may be asking about the Attract service that is to be part of Blender Cloud. It is currently not available and still being developed. Would be nice to know where the service currently stands and how soon we could get our grubby mitts on it.
I've just seen that Pixar has released a collection of textures under a CC-Attribution license. Is there any possibility to include these textures on your library? It could be cool to access them at one click with the Blender Cloud addon :D
@Forgotten.Fantasies: when i saw it i totally thought of the same thing!, that would be super nice.
@Forgotten.Fantasies: same thoughts crossed my head =)
@luciano: I don't know if Pixar wants to have the textures only on their website, anyway I didn't saw any warning about license except the CC-BY one. C'mon! the Institute and Pixar are buddies after all :D
Question : Since Paperman, I haven't seen the technology that Disney introduced being reused anywhere, which I find strange considering how amazing it looks. But it seems from my knowledge that Blender has some potential to get the features required to use the same techniques. Are there some animators other than me interested in having this kind of technology ?
Question for next time: Is there any possibility of improving the wireframe node in cycles? It works great but an option for outlining quads would be very useful instead of all triangles like it currently does. I’m working on an environments modeling reel and have a complex scene with lots of linked objects and it would be ideal to simply use a material override to render a wireframe pass.
As a side note, if it hasn’t been asked before, any advice for a soon-to-graduate 3D animation student looking to get into the industry? Thanks in advance!
@hgmagby: yes please, showing only quads would be great, and optimal display would be really nice too.
pepeland is the best school for storytelling, character animation and blender ever... the 3 best subjects at the same time... thanks to Daniel for bringing us such a great place to learn.
@luciano: "f*** you dalai" that was golden
@luciano: an other question, are we going to start seeing reel edits in ... colin's or hjalti's folder? would be nice to see a mixed edit with the shots that are on blocking or not animated at all with the ones that have render tests and the ones that are half way through, each shot i see from the fight is beautifully animated so it'd be lovely too see all that process come together.
@luciano: I've cleaned up the duplicated comments.
@luciano: dunno how they got duplicated and have no idea how to delete em....
@luciano: are you guys planning to attend annecy again this year?, what about mundos digitales, fmx, THU or other mayor festivals / conferences around europe?
