Blender Studio is proud to present CHARGE. Enjoy!
The goals of this project were to challenge Blender and the creative team to pursue heightened realism and push Blender’s capabilities in the interactive PBR workflow.
By using the in-development version of Blender, and EEVEE as render engine for the entire production, new workflows were explored and documented by the Blender Studio team. In the upcoming days the team will share lots of breakdowns, assets and content, which will add to the already incredible amount of resources already available here on studio.blender.org.
Congratulations to the entire team of artists and developers who created this, and thank you to all Blender Studio supporters that enable us to create and share independent content made with Blender.
Wow amazing!!!
I'm at a loss for words... The entire team of devs & artists who've EVER worked on making Blender what it is today truly deserve a Nobel Prize. Their unified goal of humbly & unbiasedly sharing their passion, ingenuity, and genius, with the pure intent of liberating all of us with access to otherwise intangible tools is simply alien to this World. ...Never mind. I found some words.
Congratulations! Looks great! You guys are really pushing the boundaries of what open source software can do!
Huge congrats to all the team involved! Once again, the result is amazing. Keep pushing, you've got our support.
Congratulations to the entire team of developers and artists for this beautiful short film.
Since its announcement I have been excited, waiting for the premiere, and I have tried to keep my subscription and follow the progress of the development, during the time that my work has allowed me.
Of the short film, first of all, I love the narrative condensation of the story. Although it is a simple anecdote, I think it is well resolved, and with a good narrative rhythm.
Secondly, I like the cinematography. I love the camera, the depth of field, the selective focus. Today when I read the commentary of the producer of the short film Francesco Siddi, I was very surprised that the EEVEE engine was used during the whole production, and I wonder if it is also the engine used for the development of the final frames.
I would love to know if you can share the image workflow of the short film. In my particular case, I would also like to know the color spaces and gamma used in the color workflow of the short film.
finally, I thank again Blender and all that it does and all that is shared by this great community. Although I'm not a 3D artist yet, when I see this kind of work, I dream of someday doing something like this.
@Jesús Odremán Thank you for the kind words! Will check with Andy on having a detailed breakdown of the image workflow, but at its core is pretty simple: everything stays within Blender's linear space using the "Filmic" view transform.
Fantastic work on this one everyone!
uau!
