Last week on Pet Projects…

As the team prepares for animation, Rik is rushing to get the storyboard as ready and final as possible. This was a bit stressful as many steps are now in progress at the same time. Juggling should be mentioned in the job description for directors, right?

To lighten the mood, we can look at Hjalti's mock up of some shots, with very expressive characters. Yes, Demeter will work on the Dog and Cat's faces one day, it's a promise! He's even started working on the mouths; you should look at his full production log!

The top priority remained the characters' bodies, as Pablo was pushing the animation tests further. And thanks to that, the team was finally able to enjoy a shot of the dog, moving, in a mock up environment. It has to be one of the reasons why we do this job, right: those "ah" moments, when things start to come together.

Obviously, although more steps will start soon, design and modeling are not done yet. So many props to come! Vivien, Beau and Julien are working hard to bring all the accessories to life. After all, they are almost characters in their own right, playing a key role in the story. But you'll have to wait to see in what way, exactly.
