Character Showcase | Rain
Animation by Pablo Fournier, lighting and rendering by Andy Goralczyk. Rain rig by the Blender Animation Studio team.
Curious to know ...when animating the Rain character, what kind of viewport FPS was avg? Currently I am with AV sync I can only get it to playback at 20 fps, no higher...no matter what options I change it. Changing the viewport rendering settings or sizes does seem to help either.
@Regi Ellis did you try to use simplify? under the render properties? putting the viewport max subdivision to 0 makes everything go faster
@Pablo Fournier This doesn't always work
Is there any tutorial explains how the pen and book were rigged ??
@Footytoonz There isn't, sorry - They are extremely simple though, I encourage you to simply go into pose mode on the rigs and click on all the bones and check their constraints - the only "fancy" thing is a Floor constraint on the ball of the pen - which didn't even appear on camera ;)
Would love to check this out, but am not sure how to get Rain to appear as I'm a bit of a n00b when it comes to Linking in Blender.
I've downloaded the Rain v2.0 rig and renamed it "rain_rig.blend" and performed "Find Missing Files". Looks like it picked her up, because I don't get an error about her missing, but she's still not appearing in the shot and it's also reporting missing pen and paper.
@Jeremy Bot Put "rain_rig" under a "rain" folder?
"/rain/rain_rig.blend"
Can't locate the notepad, though.... not sure where that comes from.
