The adorable and friendly Sprites work hard day and night to protect the balance and beauty of their lush forest. No matter the cost. Grab the rig here, with included facial poses and animation loops as seen on Sprite Fright.

This asset currently requires Blender 3.3-3.6, and may break on lower or higher versions!

Notes on how to use the character

  1. Put your 3D cursor in the Origin of your scene. Choose File > Link and browse the character file
  2. Go to the Collections and select CH-sprite. Make sure "Instance Collections" is enabled. Press Enter.
  3. The Collection should appear instanced in the Viewport. Select it.
  4. Choose Object > Library Override > Make.

If you have run into any problems, let us know in the comments below. If you make something cool with the Sprites, make sure to show it to us!

I've got two problems. When I append the character I cannot see the pose library (it is enabled in settings and it works when I open the character file) The other problem is the textures look fine when I open it. However, when I move even one frame the hat's texture becomes different, some weird lines. and sometimes the eye texture doesn't show.

@Bayê Şûr Heyo, the pose library is separate from the rig, you need to append the poses from the rig file to make them appear in a given file.

@Alice Ottaviani Not install, but you do need to enable the Pose Library add-on that ships with Blender, in your user preferences. Once enabled, you should be able to enter pose mode on the character and see an "Animation" panel pop up in the sidebar with the pose library within.

Great model and rig. I am a Maya user and I'm switching over to Blender. Some things I get right away. While others, it's taking me some time to learn. I have a question about animating the fingers. I don't see the controlers to animate the fingers. Could you please tell me where can I find them? Thanks!

@Juan Carlos Valdez In the Sidebar (N panel) under the CloudRig panel, there is a Layers tab. You need to enable the Fingers layer.

@Demeter Dzadik I am using Blender 4.0 and the CloudRig pane (Layers tab) is empty. What I have to do ?

@Ricardo Figueira Hey, yeah, on 4.0 the cloudrig.py file that was made for 3.3 will only work up to 3.6, and it will throw an error in 4.0 and fail to fully draw. So I recommend using Blender 3.6 for these older characters, until one day hopefully they get updated to 4.0.
