For Blender 3.4x Eevee and Cycles Render

To take full advantage of this character rig, the latest BlenRig addon needs to be installed.

This version includes:

  1. Tested compatibility with blender 3.4

Notes on how to use the character

  1. Put your 3D cursor in the Origin of your scene. Choose File > Link and browse the character file
  2. Go to the Collections and select CH-Vincent.high. Make sure "Instance Collections" is enabled. Press Enter.
  3. The Collection should appear instanced in the Viewport. Select it.
  4. Choose Object > Library Override > Make.
  5. Pose the model to your liking and enjoy!

Rigging Notes

In the MUSCLE SYSTEM tab of the BlenRig UI, you will find a property called "Deformation Extras". This property toggles some modifiers in the viewport that will enhance facial deformation. Note that this does not affect the rendering of the character, as those modifiers are always on for rendering. By default, Deformation Extras is off, to have a faster playback.

Hi there, is there something I’m missing as his tounge disappears whenever I render him. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

@Neil Robinson Hey, which Blender version are you using? I'll troubleshoot with that version :).

@Neil Robinson I both opened the Vincent file and linked the character in an empty file. In both cases it renders the tongue properly. Can you download the file again and see if it renders fine? If it still doesn't work, can you give more context?

Is there a basic introduction on how to use these rigs? Like how to switch from FK/IK is there a character picker.
