Blocking
Let's get started with the Art of Blocking! The purpose of blocking is to play around with ideas and quickly iterate over several versions of a model, in order to find the right direction. During blocking it's essential to keep things simple, both in terms of shapes and materials - and do not be afraid to throw things away!

I bought monthly accesses only because of this tutorial! But even if I press 0.5 speed it’s impossible to follow!! What’s the point? At lest let ppl see how it was done! Very disappointed
I do agree that it's very hard. But at least to me, he's an artist who i think is very talented (helmet is one of my favorite scenes) and I just feel very fortunate to be able to get a peak at his process for what is not that much in my thought. But i can again totally understand the frustration, it is hard to follow.
@Anna Fedorova This comment is old, but I thought I’d respond just to help those coming later. This video is not a tutorial designed to follow along with so don’t be disappointed when you can’t do so. Instead just observe the process to understand the general workflow and gain some insight into modeling a piece such as this, and you’ll see that’s there’s actually lots of great tips and techniques that can be gained.
