For Blender 3.4x Eevee and Cycles Render

Franck from "Cosmos Laundromat" in his caterpillar form.

This version includes:

  1. Bones visibility check, to remove clutter
  2. Set most parameters to be library overridable.
  3. Fixed model_res parameter to control the resolution of all the objects.
  4. Added toggle for hair particles by selecting the cogwheel in edit mode

Notes on how to use the character

  1. Put your 3D cursor in the Origin of your scene. Choose File > Link and browse the character file
  2. Go to the Collections and select CH-Franck_caterpillar. Make sure "Instance Collections" is enabled. Press Enter.
  3. The Collection should appear instanced in the Viewport. Select it.
  4. Choose Object > Library Override > Make.
  5. If the model is too heavy, enable Simplify in the Render Settings or in pose mode, select the cogwheel properties bone and lower the model resolution.
  6. Pose the model to your liking and enjoy!

Hi! The rig doesn't seem to move the character's body, only the collar. I've tried both the Blender 2.8 version and the 3.4 version, and both still show me the same error. The facial rig works great, though. Could you check the file? That would be awesome! Thanks in advance! Image of the problem: https://ibb.co/GHBBrJ4

Hi @Joan, thank you for letting me know. I have opened the file in Blender 3.4.1 and it works as intended, linked or in the character file itself. If you select the body and go into the modifier stack, is the Mesh Deform and Armature Face enabled in the viewport?

@Beau Gerbrands Exactly that! The Mesh Deform modifier was coming disabled by default in the Viewport and even though I activated it manually, it still wasn't working. It turns out I had two versions of the Blen Rig Addon installed simultaneously, which were somehow modifying this property. Once I fixed that, everything was working perfectly. My bad...Thank you very much Beau for your time!
