Manu spent the week working on the grass fields and spacing of the overall island, which is important in those long shots (like when the tornado appears) and also detailing the edge of the washing machine drum from which the storm emerges.
In addition to a short shot of Victor smiling as the tornado begins, Hjalti continued his work on Franck receiving his timer plus moved on to a new sequence: Franck running from the storm. See all three, as well as the progression of the running shot, in the videos to the left.
Mathieu has come up with a new cliffhanger ending for Cosmos Laundromat, with new jungle footage and a laundromat credits sequence. See it first here, and then stay tuned to see how this new material develops!
Sarah has started work on a new shot this week: the piece of the intro conversation where Victor convinces Franck to give him one minute of his time.
Click the videos to the left to see new and updated animations of the "just a sheep" sequence and Franck looking up from the log as well as a look at Beorn's early work on improving continuity between the shots.
Lukas worked with Andy this week testing fur and grass simulations and fixing things. While Andy put the wind in the grass, Lukas working on adding the same effect to Franck's fur, as you can see in this video here.
Pablo has been working on the direction and strength of the lighting on sheep island. The two videos here show a before and after of this week's lighting change, but a few stills where he continues to experience, softening the now much brighter glow.
In addition to his tornado work, Andy also worked on getting Franck's hair tidy and simulating the collisions between the branch Franck pulls and the grass. Click through the videos to the left to see all of these to date.

Pablo has continued his work tweaking the lighting, particularly for the shot where Victor speaks to Franck – while Manu works on the look of Victor's side of the conversation, Pablo is focusing on Franck.
Andy says, "This week I tried to spread the tornado over the various shots we have and focus on getting the look down. I counted 9 shots for the outside of the tornado based on Ton's list. These 9 shots will be solved in 5 different sims. Data-wise I'm guessing about 5 x 300 GB of data in the worst case." Click through the files and videos to the left to see his progress!
