Check out the team's work for the week, including new animations and renders and an updated version of the trailer.
This week, Beorn worked on two shots: the moment after Franck gets his timer, and Franck waiting at the cliff as Victor walks away. In addition, you'll also find another continuity test (picking up on last week's) as well as the planning Beorn created to figure out what the animators need to do to finish all the shots in time.
Manu has been working on more renders and details, including a slightly rusted version of the washing machine drum, lighting tests for the long view of the island, and even a vertical render of the fishy cat creature you'll find on the Blender.org homepage banner.
Andy took a break from the tornado this week to work on getting the wind in the grass right and Franck's run (with motion blur). See his tests by clicking through the files to the left.
Hjalti has just about finished the shot where Victor switches Franck's rope for the timer. In the video here, you will see several iterations of Victor's lipsync (with the camera pinned to the skull for focus) followed by the latest versions of the almost-final full shot (all that's left are the tiny details, like Victor's jacket movement.) Plus, you will also find Hjalti's work on a new shot: Victor's stance the moment before the storm arrives.
In this folder you will find a video demo of Lukas's ocean shader test plus the .blend files you need to recreate it yourself. See the weekly video on the blog for demos of Lukas's hair tests for the week.
In addition to an updated trailer, in this folder you'll find Mathieu's animated sheep flock and lighting tests for the week!
Pablo has continued working on the island lighting. Check out his test renders here.
Sarah spent this week working on the shot where Victor convinces Franck to give him "a moment of his precious time," which is now (at v13) 99% finished.

Manu spent the week working on the grass fields and spacing of the overall island, which is important in those long shots (like when the tornado appears) and also detailing the edge of the washing machine drum from which the storm emerges.
In addition to a short shot of Victor smiling as the tornado begins, Hjalti continued his work on Franck receiving his timer plus moved on to a new sequence: Franck running from the storm. See all three, as well as the progression of the running shot, in the videos to the left.
Mathieu has come up with a new cliffhanger ending for Cosmos Laundromat, with new jungle footage and a laundromat credits sequence. See it first here, and then stay tuned to see how this new material develops!
Sarah has started work on a new shot this week: the piece of the intro conversation where Victor convinces Franck to give him one minute of his time.
Click the videos to the left to see new and updated animations of the "just a sheep" sequence and Franck looking up from the log as well as a look at Beorn's early work on improving continuity between the shots.
Lukas worked with Andy this week testing fur and grass simulations and fixing things. While Andy put the wind in the grass, Lukas working on adding the same effect to Franck's fur, as you can see in this video here.
Pablo has been working on the direction and strength of the lighting on sheep island. The two videos here show a before and after of this week's lighting change, but a few stills where he continues to experience, softening the now much brighter glow.
In addition to his tornado work, Andy also worked on getting Franck's hair tidy and simulating the collisions between the branch Franck pulls and the grass. Click through the videos to the left to see all of these to date.
Here's where you'll find all the renders and other files the Gooseberry team showed off during the April 17, 2015 weekly livecast. Find out more about everything you see here in the blog post: http://gooseberry.blender.org/weekly-35-april-17-2015/
Click the videos to the left to see the final animations for two scenes: Franck reaching the cliff and Victor introducing himself.
See how the shot of Victor giving Franck his timer evolved over the week — from blocking through lipsyncing and splining into final corrections.
Antonis has been making feature tweaks to order for the animators this week. Download his test files here to play with them yourself. (See this weekly #35's highlights on gooseberry.blender.org for more information. And don't forget to use the latest Gooseberry branch build!)
Pablo has continued his work tweaking the lighting, particularly for the shot where Victor speaks to Franck – while Manu works on the look of Victor's side of the conversation, Pablo is focusing on Franck.
Andy says, "This week I tried to spread the tornado over the various shots we have and focus on getting the look down. I counted 9 shots for the outside of the tornado based on Ton's list. These 9 shots will be solved in 5 different sims. Data-wise I'm guessing about 5 x 300 GB of data in the worst case." Click through the files and videos to the left to see his progress!
From swirling cloud nodes to new hair tests, Lukas has had a busy week. Click through this folder to see what he's been up to!

This week Andy not only worked on the tornado, but also added some more details to Franck's final model, giving the fur more highlights and adding discoloration, etc., to the mouth interior. Click through the videos and images on the left to see what he's done.
Pablo has been working on the lighting and look of key shots from the film. See his animated and still renders by clicking through the files to the left.

In this folder you'll find Antonis's test file for the proportional editing support, which you can download to test yourself (with the latest Gooseberry branch build).
In the videos here you will find two new versions of Victor's introduction to Franck with more gestures and expressions.
This week Manu modeled and rigged the washing machine drum (out of which the tornado appears), plus he updated a previous still render of Victor giving Franck his timer with the fur highlights and lighting changes made by Andy and Pablo.
In addition to Sarah's animation of Franck during Victor's intro, you'll find her and Juan Pablo's five sheep models (plus a baby sheep) that will make up the flock on Sheep Island.
