An introduction to the workshop and what it's about. Additionally I am also commenting a bit about the included timelapse recording in the background.
just watched the first video, but I would love to know how to give the ambience you showed at the end.
@Figaro Triana There's a bonus video at the end of the list that goes into that ;)
Hello everyone, I-ve been using blender for years, specifically for mobile games so sculpting is very new to me. I'm comfortable with box modeling and sculpting is quite a difficult task for me at the moment so I hope I can learn something. Great videos so far on the cloud.
*@Remi Storms* Thanks! I hope these videos are not too advanced since this workshop is more meant for a specific workflow and tips & tricks. There's no dedicated beginners course here yet but the Stylised Character Workflow is probably more beginner friendly if you are looking for something like that ;) https://cloud.blender.org/p/stylized-character-workflow/
There's also a Fundamentals Tutorial in the bonus videos folder.
Workflow summary: Suzanne -> Chewing gum -> Worm -> Banana -> Dragon ;D
*@David Boura* Speed Sculpting in a nutshell :D
*@Julien Kaspar* and in video 2 you go back to Suzanne like it's normal... amazing.
Hi *@Julien Kaspar*, you have on the sculpt mode the tab "tools" that have the view "SpeedSculpt". I don't find that on the blender 2.8 ?!? How to add it ? Thanks
*@Ricardo Figueira* It's one of the addons I was using. It's a paid addon but there are free alternatives out there. For the most part it's giving you one-button-shortcuts to for example quickly add an object with a skin modifier or to extract masks as a new object instead of doing this step by step yourself. If you are curious about how to extract a mask as a new object like I did in 03:37 in this video then watch video 8 of this workshop where I go over it in more detail :)
Nice series :) Would you mind to share your theme with us ?
*@Nicq Pierre-Armand* Thx! It's the default theme but with the blue changed to orange in the theme settings. To be honest I changed it back to blue since the orange was making the red & orange icons/lines harder to see.
Hi *@Julien Kaspar*, I am watching all yours speed sculpting videos because I want to start sculpting with blender. In my opinion, what I am missing here is at least one slow basic video for starters. For example, using your custom brushes and sculpting one simple basic cartoon character from start to finish with your comments and approach. Can you do that ? ;)
