We're going to keep up the tradition from past years to celebrate the launch of the project with the community via a launch stream on the Blender Studio YouTube channel.
It's been a while since the Blender Studio packaged an Open Project in a format outside of our website. Reminds me of the DVD sales of the old times that came with all kinds of goodies and assets.
In a similar spirit we'll provide an additional DLC on Steam to download the source code and various other production assets. It's a smaller, more project focused package than what you get from supporting us directly.
Stay up to date with more projects from the Blender Studio! The Storm character asset project is getting further into rigging and shading, and our new short film Singularity is full on in previs territory.
Do you plan to make some release about your pipeline/workflow ? As many indies are using Blender and Godot in their studio (me included), that could help define some sort of common ground to build upon…
@YannK It's a bit of a mix of things. Short term, we're gonna release the pipeline as it is with some high level documentation of how we used it. We'll also stay in contact with the Godot developers to see how some of the workflow could become more commonplace in the Godot engine itself, making our pipeline redundant :)
