For Blender 2.8x Eevee and Cycles Render

Victor from "Cosmos Laundromat".

To take full advantage of this character rig, the latest BlenRig addon needs to be installed. Get the latest BlenRig here

Notes on how to use the character
  1. Put your 3D cursor in the Origin of your scene. Choose File > Link and browse the character file
  2. Go to the Collections and select CH-Victor.high. Make sure "Instance Collections" is enabled. Press Enter.
  3. The Collection should appear instanced in the Viewport. Select it.
  4. Choose Object > Relations > Make Proxy...
  5. In the list, select RIG-Victor. If the model is too heavy, enable Simplify in the Render Settings.
  6. Pose the proxy armature to your liking and enjoy!

You can flip between his proxy hair and the actual particles using the HAIR_TOGGLE property on the properties bone.

Hi, I'm a beginner animator, and I love Victor! I'm really excited to work with him, but I have two issues. First, some parts of the model behave like they're in IK mode. For example, when I lower the waist, the wrists stay in the air, and I can't figure out how to fix this. Second, there are too many controllers, and I'm wondering how I can simplify the interface. It's an old model, but I would be very happy if you could help.

hello, i recently got the rig set up, with no issues, but now i am coming across one, whenever i rotate a bone, it rotates from the root, so when i try to rotate the head, it goes a full 360 around the entire screen, it just stretches, how can i fix this?

Does Blender Studio get updated anymore? Real disappointing to see so much out of date, non working resources.

@PiapiAnimation Yes, as mentioned here: https://cloud.blender.org/terms-and-conditions under Blender Cloud licenses all content is CC-BY which means you can use and share the characters, as long as you attribute the creators (Blender Cloud) in the credits of your showreel.

I'm a noob with particle systems.. I toggle the hair in the properties bone and see few strands of hair displayed and rendered. I try to fiddle with the hair particle's sliders to no luck.. Anyone has any suggestions?

@Feliciano Guirado Simplify is enabled by default in the file to prevent the file from running super slow, this will only draw the parent hair strands.

If you do a normal F12 render (not viewport), all the hair will be there. To see all the hair in the viewport, uncheck Simplify in the render properties of your file.

Maybe I am doing something wrong, but I followed the steps up to step 4, but cannot find Make Proxy in Relations. I am running the official release of Blender 2.80.
