This is the most helpful video for modeling in blender that I have come across. Thank you so much!

Hi How can you make visible your webcam in Blender? I'm interesting to know how to do it....Thanks for your tutos.

I think Dolf just overlayed an external webcam viewer over the video.

In 3.0, there isn't an "edit" mode that I can find, but I do get a similar view in the Modeling tab up top - is that the same thing?

Wait, no, I was wrong. There's a drop-down box under the "edit" tab. It's on "object mode," but if you click on it, "edit mode" is the next item on the drop-down list.

Also - to extrude an edge, you need to choose "edge" on the second toolbar, and then dropdown to "extrude edge." Think this series of videos needs an update for the new version of Blender...

@Kristina Melomed I was thinking that at the end of the previous video in this course...

Yeah. I've watched minutes 4 through 6 about four or five times, and I can't recreate what he's doing. All of the menus have changed. If anyone reading this has Blender later than 2.67, this tutorial is not going to help you.

@Kristina Melomed At first I bolted, as I'm in the 3.x series myself. But after thinking about it, this is allowing me to get a better understanding of some of the concepts, as I am not even thinking about how to do it. Watching him, he does a real good job of explaining the what's and how's of what is going on. This allowed me to understand it and I can go to the docs to look up the workflow operations in my version. Maybe change this to a concepts course, and only use Blender to illustrate, not instruct. This would still be of high utility to a real beginner.
