Thanks for sharing this. I've been using the 3D Print Tool for a bit, but mesh debug looks useful.
To highlight the practical use of thickness for others - if you're using a FDM printer, it has a metal hot-end where the filament is extruded. The hot-end’s hole is the minimum amount of plastic it can push out at one time. If it is .5mm, that’s the minimum thickness to use in your models. If you are printing with a service, you might want to check with them on what wall thickness they can print. (This is different than “layer height”, which has nothing to do with Blender.)
