04 - Using Modifiers

Modifiers can be added to automaticly change your 3D mesh/shape just like filters do for photographs. They can add extra detail, or even simplify your 3D scan data.

Hi, now that we have the 2.81a, and we could use the new remeshers added to Blender, is there any video or tutorial in blender cloud that would explain this remeshing applied to 3D printing? Thanks

*@Aranzazu Hurtado Ruiz* afaik the remesher's mainly for sculpting purposes. there is the quad remesher by zbrush u could use that gives best auto-retopo results (50-100 bucks) or addons like retopoflow for hand remeshing or you hand remesh it using blenders polybuild tool which is very nice for retopology.. the internal remesher doesn't give good topology results. but i'm not into 3D printing so notsure if the topology even has to be "good"...

*@Oli Gerber* It doesn't need to be animated so in my opinion topology is not such a big deal, that's why I think the new voxel remesher or quad remesher could be helpful. But don't know for sure.
