Steps:
To fill the barrel, we will add a snow patch object
- If you haven't done it already, save your file in the
asset/lib/(i.e. barrel.blend).
- We can now tweak the general shape of the barrel. Select loops with the Proportional Editing Tool Enabled (O) (Use scroll wheel) to adjust the influence radius.
- The gaps between the paper segments are quite minimal in the papercraft version. That is why I adjusted this as well. Simply bring the segments closer together.
- Rename the object to GEO-barrel_albedo, "GEO-" is the prefix we use to indicate an object or curve at the Blender Studio.
- Now we can create the snow patch to place inside the barrel. Shift + A and add a plane, extrude the edges only by using Alt + E and directly cancel. Scale the selection and start ripping (V) the corner vertices (like we are using scissors).
- Extrude the paper segments downward and place the snow patch at the top of the barrel. Enter sculpt mode or use edit mode to fill any gaps and prevent intersections seen from the outside.
- Rename the patch to GEO-snow_patch
