If while applying the Solidify modifier, your Solidify is skewed, [Tab] into object mode and [Control + A] to apply scale.
Hey, Dillon, to make more vertices you could easily select the edge, hit W, then subdivide. Didn't know what you pressed to get the vertices so I had to look it.

No matter how many times I do the shrinkwrap modifier on the mouth plane, it still won't contour around the head. It just stays as a rectangle.
@quesogr7: You need to subdivide the plane! Otherwise it doesn't have enough vertices to actually morph to the shape of the mesh.
in my opinion I prefer the eyes the way they were; but if I leave them the way they first were will it affect the rest of the tutorial?
@Keith Behrens: Not at all! It's entirely up to you :) the change I made to the eyes was just an embellishment
i have problems with the zooming in Blender, i can't zoom into the snowman's face. what must I do? @Dillon Gu
