In this video we begin modeling the face of our character. By keeping our shapes simple, we can not only stay within the style of the character, but also allow for easier rigging down the road using shape keys.
hi Dillon Gu, the part of the video where you add the nose, you said that you hit SHIFT and YY. I tried it but nothing happened, what did I do wrong?
@kbehrens44: You probably didn't do anything wrong bud. By hitting Y the first time you are constraining movement to that axis. Hitting the second time removes that constraint so you can then move the mouse freely and not just upon the Y axis.
@kbehrens44: yep
@Stefan59: oh ok, since I saw both the X and Z red and blue lines indicated as he scaled the nose down. So i guess it is just S and YY I should hit on my keyboard, right?
@kbehrens44: I think he meant S (for scale) not shift as the screen capture show S. YY then scales along Local Y axis not Global Y axis.
@howardstechhospital: oh ok thanks very much.
