The tutorial videos are split up in to two types:
Please update this wonderful course. There are lots of blender tutorial in various areas like modeling, animation, sculpting, etc. However, there's rarely a comprehensive Blender Motion graphics course out there. I subscribed to this platform because of this course. However, if the course isn't updated, I will cancel my subscription and wait on till it gets updated.
It would really be nice if there is an updated version of this course. Because I have the feeling that I will encounter a lot of problems while learning the course since the version of Blender used for this course is very old.
Has this been updated for 2022 or is there a plan to do that? I think as awesome as this is here it would be incredible with geometry nodes.
thx for blender and this training, is it possible to have an automatically subtitles?! my english is not good, it would be nice for me ) regards
@Waldemar Weckerle I don't think that's an option a the moment, sorry.
Great videos. Learned a lot. Nice to see, so much can be achieved with a few object (and a lot of modifiers).
Just finished the training now. This was such an awesome experience. Thanks a lot Mantissa!!!
Looking great! Coming from the outside it is difficult to understand where to start with the course. clicking the blender motion graphics logo lands you here: https://cloud.blender.org/p/motion-graphics/ and confuses the user. also, the navigation bar was closed so there was no way for me to get to the actual course start.
@shul: Hmm, that's odd. I'll keep an eye on it, thanks for letting me know.
@Tristan Garner: Thanks for the feedback. I'll let the devs know when I get a chance, they're always happy to hear how things can be improved.
@mantissa:
Yeah I had the same problem. I would of thought clicking the browse button would let me see the course videos but it just takes you to the splash page unless you click the tiny little nav button at the bottom. Seems unhelpful.
@knut-einar: right
@shul: I think I know what the problem is; I was very confused as well, so I opened it up in another browser (Firefox) where it all looked good. The difference was the navigation column on the left side; which when it's closed makes it very hard to navigate (!) and understand anything. At the bottom of the page, to the left, there is a little arrow ( << ) you can click on; this opens up the navigation bar, and problem should be solved. I suggest this bar should be open upon entering site, but can be closed if needed after entering the site ...
The course is looking great! Have you thought of doing a tutorial series about the "animation nodes" plugin at some point. It seems to be very powerful for motion graphics but hard to understand.
@rapppc: I thought about including it, but ended deciding against it. While it's an amazing tool, I don't feel confident enough with it myself yet to ensure good lessons. Maybe in the future though, once I've had more time with it. :)
