The final video for this technique is a little longer as we have a look at the shading of the elements and the final scene breakdown.
Creating a scene like this is generally a process of evolution. Don't try to do everything all at once, keep adding element by element until you're satisfied with the final result. Remember, all complex results start as simple ideas.
Love the scene breakdown at the end and how casual and encouraging you are bout the whole process.
This whole series is amazing. I don't know what else can be said about it. Thank you for spending so much time making this. I really appreciate and will study these with a fine tooth comb.
@Scott Petrovic: Awesome, glad you like it! :)
How did you unwrap the sphere to get such a good projection on it? I have tried using the follow active quads method and it never gives satisfactory results.
@andrew5: DOn't wory, I simply used the image texture and texture coordinate, set it to generated and the image texture to sphere, didn't even need to unwrap in the end!
@andrew5: Glad you got it sorted out! Doing it that way is probably the quickest way. :)
