Could you explain what's going on at the beginning with the Cube --> Geometry to Instance --> Switch? I'm still working on learning the nodes and when I bypass that it hasn't seemed to make a difference in outcome so far. Thank you.

@Logan Ball the idea of the modifier is to take an input collection of parts that are used.

@Simon Thommes if that collection is not set/empty however, it should still work. So in that case I replace the collection geometry with a cube instance. The instance on points node is able to turn the cube into an instance by itself though. So it doesn't effectively make a difference if this node is added
