Now that we've set up the deformation bones, we need to hook them up properly. All of the control bones need to correctly follow and scale with their parent bones, while not restricting their own freedom. This setup allows the animator to still manipulate each individual bone, while still respecting the bone hierarchy.
I have followed along so far, editing the bones and parenting. My scaling for bones doesn't seem to work the same way. I've done s for scaling and my blender only evenly scales. I have also tried alt+s, ctrl+alt+s, I am not sure what I could be missing. It's making it difficult to see items.
I just realized for settings or different menus instead of pausing I could take a screenshot and found that more useful when switching between the video and my blender file.
@Kenzie W Townsend This also looks like a Sonic mouth but moves like the Incredibles.
Hi, I don't understand why my MSTR-Lip_upp and MSTR-Lip_low bones aren't moving along with the standard DEF lip bones, or at least with the CTL-Lip_loca_low/top controls. It's as if they're acting completely independently, yet at the same time, they are somehow linked to the lips. https://postimg.cc/NKS8sZST
@Baffye Could you send me a link to your workfile? Happy to look into it and see whats going on.
@Rik Schutte I've already corrected the error, most likely it was due to the fact that the end of the DEF-Jaw bone was at Chin, and not like yours opposite the lips
