Ribbon mesh
It's time to create the ribbon mesh for the lips where we apply the 3 curve principle. This ribbon mesh will be the guide for the individual lip bones, resulting in smooth and predictable lip deformations.

When we separate the edge loop,would not it break the lip geometry?What if it is duplicated?
My character’s lips is not very smooth, so the ribbon doesn’t look like a football 🏈, there is a little notch in the main upper vertices [(M) like this], is it ok to edit the ribbon shape to be more smooth?
3:39. The Select Bones to vertex group takes a while to get right. For me. It feels like the reverse process of parenting bones to vert groups.
2:31 So. If you have trouble snapping vertices. If you look at the video Rik hid the meh. I even hid the MSTR-Mouth to get a better angle.
@Kenzie W Townsend In the same vein. I also had better luck. 1. Highlighting the vertex of the edge loop I wanted. 2. Cursor to Selected Function. 3. Jump back to Edit mode and select the bone. 4. Selection to Cursor. In case, anyone else has issues with that part.

Just a small issue I noticed: the video seems to get stuck at 8:18. The image freezes, but the timeline continues to move forward. I’m not sure if it’s just on my end or if the video file has a small glitch there.
Thought I’d mention it in case others experience the same thing. Thanks again for the great tutorial!

Oh. No. Its an editing thing. He paused the screen cap and didn't cut the video at 8:18. Sorry. But the other part was true for me. The video dropping out after long pauses and seems to be buffering again. Many learning platforms have the similar issue.
@Swaraj Kanthikar I have noticed this in the other videos. I think its the video player. It resets every so often and then buffers. I'll take too long following along and then the same behavior when I press play again.
@Swaraj Kanthikar why not downloading the video? so that You can watch it wit no issue.
@Swaraj Kanthikar I think this is simply the end of the video :) The "stuck" part was simply not edited out.
